The All People’s Congress ( APC ) made many mistakes in power . The party went to sleep while the then opposition Sierra Leone People’s Party ( SLPP ) craftily created fake civil society groups in the country.
APC should have been proactive and monitored the formation of these false civil society groups. When every civil society group being formed is headed by a Mende and its members are South/ easterners, that should have raised red flags. But the APC was too complacent and lethargic in power and are paying the price now.

Because the civil society groups were actually Mende or Southeastern or SLPP organizations in disguise, they were very active during the APC era, criticizing the government and taking it to task whenever it committed mistakes .
Ironically, since the SLPP came to power in 2018, the civil society groups have gone dormant, inactive and silent in the face of all the acts of misgovernance and human rights abuses being committed by this government. This is a very painful rejoinder about how even civil society activities have been marred by tribalism in Sierra Leone.
All the civil society groups are pro-SLPP. They only sprang to action recently to defend the SLPP Government. It is both a shame and a tragedy.

BIO ACTIVATES TRIBESMEN CIVIL SOCIETY GUYS
when i once said Bio has activated his tribesmen civil society guys some were not happy because they never saw where i was coming from
Now d latest set of South Eastern civil society guyz who are all over the place defending Bio’s failed Presidency are the Mambu’s (Charles Mambu n Moses Mambu).
These are the same set of civil society guyz who before 2018 were from one media house to another talking about accountability, rule of law, human rights, and holding our official accountable who failed to deliver
They even went so low with their baseless IGR surveys on hunger and poverty when they APC was in governance just to blackmail the former President and his Administration to the International Community
Remember they even have an ultimatum to fmr President Koroma to sack Hon. Alimamy Petito Koroma bcuz of port holes ?
Now these are the same civil society guyz from the South East defending Bio from one station to another
We now know they were not criticizing the past APC administration bcuz they Love Sierra Leone but rather they were criticizing bcuz they wanted the SLPP in power
