The President of Sierra Leone Association of Journalists , Mr. Kelvin Lewis , has described the press release from the police as Shocking.
He said it looked like the government and Police were going in opposite directions and it was supposed to be so.

Mr. Kelvin said the Police was using the 1965 Public Order Act to intimidate journalists .
Mr. Lewis has complained that the Police threats have frightened the public from participating in radio and TV talk shows. He said that SLAJ will try to meet the Police leadership.
EDITOR’S NOTE : What Mr. Lewis failed to say however was the Police were acting from orders above. State House is issuing the orders being followed by the Police.
