Over Elections Fraud… Sierra Leoneans Stage Massive Protest at the Commonwealth HQ and UK Foreign Office.
Hundreds of patriotic Sierra Leoneans in the United Kingdom and other parts of Europe, on Wednesday 20th September 2023, staged a massive protest at the Foreign Office and Commonwealth Headquarters in London.
The protest is geared towards forcing the Commonwealth and the International Community to expedite their decision to take robust action on election riggers in Sierra Leone and save the fragile Democracy in Sierra Leone which they believe is almost extinct.
After the broad daylight robbery by the ECSL and the SLPP to steal the VOTES and the WILL of the people on the 24th June 2023 Multi-tier elections, the Sierra Leonean Community in the United Kingdom massively converged at the Commonwealth Headquarters with a brief stop at the Foreign Office to tender a protest of dissatisfaction and rejection of the Maada Bio Presidency and the fraudulent manner in which the 2023 elections were conducted; the violation of peoples’ fundamental human rights for the past five years, arbitrary killings, the bastardization of the 1991 constitution, and the impunity displayed by Maada Bio and the ECSL.
The Head of Communications for the Commonwealth Secretariat acknowledged the concerns raised by the Sierra Leone community in the UK. She addressed the protesters on behalf of the Secretary-General, that they share and understand their plight.
She concluded by telling them that their petition would be looked into and handed over to the Secretary-General who is currently away in New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly.
