In another big blow to President Maada Bio and his Sierra Leone People’s Party ( SLPP), the National Elections Watch ( NEW ) has inadvertently come out in full support of the accusations made against the Elections Commision of Sierra Leone ( ECSL) by casting doubts on the credibility of the ECSL and its commitment to conduct free, fair and credible elections on June 24.
The standpoint of the National Elections Watch is not different from the one taken by the Presidential candidate of the opposition All People’s Congress ( APC) , Dr. Samura Kamara , in his nation-wide address on Wednesday when he too condemned the electoral procedures and neutrality of the ECSL and gave its Chairman and members 72 hours to resign.
