Though the heavens may fall, Ben Kaifala will justify PAOPA corruption

When Francis Ben Kaifala assumed office as ACC Commissioner, he made bold statements about fighting corruption impartially without fear or favor. The title of my piece is actually a play of one of the proclamations he made on Facebook:
” Though the heavens may fall, the law of the land must prevail”.
We now know for fact that he has abandoned that path and fashioned himself as the Chief defense for corruption in the PAOPA regime. The ACC, has for all intents and purposes become a Propaganda arm of the PAOPA administration.r
When Fatima Bio was caught illegally receiving funds rather than investigate the matter, Francis Ben Kaifala told the Sierra Leonean people that he will rather be investigating Sia Nyama Koroma the former First Lady. He ignored the preponderance of evidence before him that current First Lady Fatima Bio was illegally receiving millions of dollars from the consolidated revenue with no Parliamentary approval, but tried to shift responsibility to previous First Ladies. However, since he made that investigation proclamation last year, the Sierra Leonean people have received zero updates from ACC on the supposed First Ladies retrospective investigation. Thus, it can be concluded that the purpose of Ben Kaifala’s proclamation to investigate First Ladies going 20 years back was merely to deflect the attention from the corrupt activities of Fatima Bio.
Similarly, he is again attempting to deflect attention from the PAOPA international scandal at the Chancery in New York by issuing a Press Release stating he will investigate 10 years back.
In classic PAOPA tendency to avoid responsibility and blame others, he believes roping in APC into the corruption scandal at the Chancery somehows absolves the PAOPA administration. The same way he thought roping in Sia Koroma absolves Fatima Bio.
PAOPAS do not even see that their repeated stance of “APC did it too” when glaring evidence of their corruption are presented blows a hole into their central argument of a promised New Direction.
By repeatedly using the APC as a means to justify their corruption, the question next election will no longer be between APC and PAOPAs who is corrupt and who is not. Rather, it will be between APC and PAOPA who is less corrupt.
By all indications and based on the empirical evidence thus far, the answer to that question is PAOPAs.
N.B. Kindly note that I am delibrately using the word PAOPA to describe this administration NOT SLPP. I do not believe this crop of individuals are SLPP. They are just a group of individuals that effected the hijack of the SLPP Party machinery. A similar phenomenon was observed in the US Republican Party where a cast of characters called MAGA led by the immoral and unscrupulous Donald Trump hijacked the GOP.
