*As a Sierra Leonean and a member of the All People’s Congress, I just really want to voice my concern about the situation going on within our party. The whole debacle with our Publicity Secretary, Sidi Yayah Tunis, and his controversial statements have really shaken things up. It seems like his actions have sparked a lot of mistrust among party members towards our current executives.*
*I mean, for Sidi Yayah Tunis to just dismiss the idea of a rerun of the elections without any solid evidence to support the proclaimed results… that’s just not cool. It feels like the current leadership might be trying to undermine the tripartite committee’s efforts to investigate the alleged election fraud. And that’s not something we can just stand by and watch happen.*

*We really need to make it clear to the APC leadership that they can’t afford to overlook the concerns of us Sierra Leoneans. Our voice matters, and if they fail to uphold the values of our constitution and protect the integrity of our votes, it could have some serious consequences. I don’t want to sound dramatic, but it really could jeopardise not just the party’s future but also the stability of our country.*
*It’s so crucial for the APC to prioritise the will of the people and ensure that every vote counts. If they don’t take a stand and show their commitment to transparency and fairness, well, it’s going to be a tough road ahead for them. Winning elections in Sierra Leone won’t be a walk in the park if they lose the trust and support of the people they aim to represent.*
*I truly hope that the APC leadership will step up and provide us with a clear and just resolution through the tripartite committee. Sierra Leoneans deserve to know the truth and have faith in the democratic process. If that accountability is lacking, well, I fear that it could lead to more unrest and discontent among the populace.*
*Let’s just hope for the best and that our party leaders will do the right thing in this critical moment. Our country’s future and the reputation of the APC are at stake here, and I really hope they realise the gravity of the situation before it’s too late.*
