Urgent appeal to all supporters of the APC and His Excellency Ernest Bai Koroma

URGENT APPEAL TO ALL SUPPORTERS OF THE APC AND HIS EXCELLENCY DR. ERNEST BAI KOROMA

Dear Comrades,

Our former President , His Excellency Dr. Ernest Koroma, undisputedly , is the best President we ever had in Sierra Leone. Which ever way you look at it, Dr. Koroma was the most outstanding President ever to occupy State House.

President Koroma’s splendid presidency brought many socioeconomic , political and infrastructural developments to Sierra Leone . During his tenure , there was peace, safety and security throughout the country. He was never a human rights abuser and killer. He respected human life , unlike President Julius Maada Bio who has been shedding innocent blood. EBK allowed democracy and human rights to prevail in Sierra Leone, unlike Retired Brigadier Julius Maada Bio who stole our elections and has put everybody in his pockets, including civil society, the media, judiciary and integrity institutions. Bio has set Sierra Leone behind for 100 years. Bio will harm Sierra Leone more before he leaves.

However, if you are smart, you must have noticed a trend. Supporters of the SLPP and Southeasters do not see that. They are hailing the blood – shedding elections thief, wakabort President and the most corrupt president ever in history to the high heavens. He is their god. They are worshipping him day and night and even encouraging him to continue his wickedness against our people. To them, Maada Bio , the killer , does nothing wrong. You will notice it even when you read history books on Sierra Leone written by Southeasterners. They see nothing wrong about the SLPP, Sir Milton Margai, Sir Albert Margai, Hinga Norman, Pa Kabbah etc andvnew writers will equally see nothing wrong in Maada Bio, Lawrence Leema, Fatima Bio , Prince Harding , John Benjamin, Ben Keifala, Mohamed Konneh and others. They will glorfy them. To them, the only bad people in Sierra Leone are APC and Northwesterners. It is a shame. All books will demean Presidents Siaka Stevens, J. S. Momoh and EBK.

Look at what is happening today. At the same time that they are lifting their god higher , rabid SLPP supporters are busy throwing all kinds of scum, filth and mire at the more innocent man, His Excellency Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma. They are doing everything to muddy the waters for EBK. They are leaving no stone unturned to villainize, stigmatize, disparage, vilify and damage his character and make him look like a monster. The saddest part of it is that APC supporters and Northwesterners , who should know better, have joined the vendetta against EBK . This is sad and disappointing.

Don’t you people know that this has been the pattern since time immemorial ? SLPP supporters and Southeasterners have always sought to worship and deify their own , regardless of whatever evil and suffering they inflict on our people while anything red and Northwestern is always subjected to calumny , disrepute, dishonor, shame, humiliation, infamy, disdain , disgrace, embarrassment, odium , degradation, scorn etc. And we never notice that it is a well- worked strategy . No APC or Northwesterner should ever smell good. They did the same thing to late President Siaka Stevens and General J. S. Momoh and some of us fell for the wicked propaganda until we learnt in the 1990s that it is a pattern and that SLPP people and Southeasterners want Sierra Leone solely for themselves. They do not want us as part of Sierra Leone. They will always make us look ugly, regardless of whatever good we do and will always make their people look like saints, however evil.

Yes, His Excellency Ernest Bai Koroma made many mistakes and stepped on many toes. But this is because he is a human being in human flesh. I am sorry for the persons on whose toes he stepped. May they forgive him. But let us accept the fact that nobody will ever live in this world and fail to hurt others or step on toes. Whoever can say he has never stepped on other people’s toes , let him throw the first stone at EBK. Nobody is perfect and EBK is by no means different . However, the vendetta and hostility against him far surpass the consequences of the mistakes he made

Let us face it. If you are villainizing EBK and hailing Maada Bio, you are sinning against man and God. President Maada Bio has made worse mistakes and has hurt and still continues to harm far more people. He killed innocent people like Evangelist Samson, Mahawa, White Boy and the victims of Tombo, Makeni, Mile 91, Lunsar, Freetown etc. He has divided our country into Mende and Non- Mende states. Maada Bio is an unrepentant killer and he is going to kill more people in 2028, now that there is nobody to stop him. He has bought even ECOWAS .

My beloved comrades, let us forgive our brother, EBK , for whatever mistakes he must have made and support him against these ravenous wolves from the SLPP and South East seeking to destroy him. I am not saying we must not point out his mistakes. He too is not a god. We can say the truth. But let us not jump on the bandwagon to destroy and demolish him. He is a good man and our own brother, despite his mistakes, which we too commit.

The latest propaganda against him is that he wants to return to Sierra Leone for a third term. This is not true at all. In fact, if he ever nurses that ambition, we who love him will dissuade him from it . We will tell him frankly : “ Pa, you have served your terms. Wash your hands clean off politics and enjoy your retirement now. Leave it to the young ones “. We must even advise him to wash his hands clean off the APC flagbearer race. If people come to him for advice, it is okay but he must not try to influence anything again. But den just Dey lie pan de man. He has no such ambitions. EBK just wants to return home and enjoy his retirement and the rest of his life. We should believe what he told Mr. M. S. Bangura.

Please APC comrades, Northwesterners and supporters of EBK, let us be wise. Let us stop SLPP and Southeasterners from defaming EBK, from always dividing us and making us help destroy our own people. They did it to Pa Shaki and Momoh. It was only in the 1990s that some of us got wise to the dangerous politics the SLPP always play against the APC and Northwesterners. Shaki and Momoh made mistakes too but they were not the demons SLPP and Southeasterners painted them to be. They too did a lot of good things for our nation.

Let us make peace in the APC and fight as one but this message will suffice for another day. Let us forgive our own people and start a new page. Let all supporters of His Excellency Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma come on his side and save him from the enemies in the SLPP and South Easy who are trying to destroy him. EBK is our own. Let us not abandon him today when he is facing the crucibles of after- power. Yesterday, it was Shaki and Momoh. Today, it is EBK. Tomorrow, it might be YOU. Let us love our own, as the oponents also advise themselves.

My mother used to amplify this aphorism : Bi ndere na, bi Ndere. Kpiti na , Kptiti. YOUR BROTHER IS YOUR BROTHER. THE OUTSIDER IS AN OUTSIDER.

Let us forgive and love our own. Let us not join their enemies to bring them down.
