The Hon. Vice President, Ambassador Dr. Victor Bockarie Foh on Tuesday 9th August, 2016 joined His Excellency the President, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, Cabinet Ministers, the Executive and Members of the All People’s Congress (APC) on a visit to the family home of the late Comrade Ambassador Moseray Santigie Gibril Fadika at Magazine Cut in the East End of Freetown to commiserate with the family.
The late Moseray Fadika, fondly called ‘Super’ was a member and aspiring flagbearer of the APC Party. His sudden death was a shock not only to the APC, but also to the people of Sierra Leone. He passed away on Sunday 7th August, 2016 at the Whitechapel hospital in London.
During the visit to the family, Vice President Foh who has a close relationship with the family started off his address by identifying
himself with the family of the late philanthropist. He stated firmly that his place in the gathering is not on the high-table where he is sitted, but amongst the family members.
The Hon. VP paid a glowing tribute to the late Ambassador Moseray Fadika, whom he referred to as a brother, a comrade and a foot-soldier for the APC Party and President Koroma in particular.
VP. Foh stressed that the brother they are mourning today, was loved by every Sierra Leonean, but that Allah loves him more and that is why he had called him unto himself. He encouraged the family to take solace in the knowledge that, owing to his good works, empathy and sacrifice for humanity, the late Comrade Gibril Fadika is with Allah.
President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma in his statement, said he is at the family home as Leader and Chairman of the APC family to which the late Comrade Gibril Fadika belonged. He stated that the best they could do as a Party is to join the Fadika family to continue praying for the late man so as to have peace and tranquillity where ever he is.
President Koroma stressed that the death of Fadika is a big loss to the APC as a Party and Sierra Leone as a whole. “A loss that we cannot digest at the moment”, he emphasised.
“We as a Party are here to tell the family that the funeral is the Party’s, for the APC has lost a comrade difficult to replace”, declared the President. He admonished all to rally round the family as a Party and to continue speaking in one voice.
In a mood never seen before by the public, His Excellency the President pronounced that today is a terrible moment for us all and we as a Party will carry this heavy heart for a long time.
Comrade Ernest Bai Koroma went on to pray that Allah will provide for the family a replacement that will carry them on in peace and unity.
The Leader and Chairman appealed to the family to continue to cooperate with the Party in order to give the brother and comrade the honor and respect he deserves with a befitting funeral.
