COUP FEARS GRIP PRESIDENT BIO AND SLPP GOVERNMENT
A leaked Ministry of Defence memo has exposed that Coup fears have gripped President Maada Bio and the SLPP.
With military coups now popping up here and there in West Africa, and President Bio and his the SLPP government performing horrendously in power , with corruption, human rights abuses , judiciary interference, harassment of opponents, cost of living and suffering going through the roof in Sierra Leone, President Bio is now afraid of even his own shadow.
As a consequence, the SLPP government has restricted the movements of military officers. Even annual, compassionate and welfare leave are being restricted . The memo explained that these measures have been taken because of the prevailing situation in the subregion.
How such a very sensitive and confidential document would be leaked to the public shows that even within President Bio’s government, animosity for him and his government is high.
