*The sturboness of few people has been dragging the entire nation to serious set backs.*
Following the trend of things currently happening in Sierra Leone before, during and after the June 24 general elections I am of the belief that Sierra Leone is not yet ready for progress or development under such dispensation.
We still have some enemies of progress holding on to the progress of this country for their selfish interest.
Ones who only think that without them, no one should exist. Without them, nothing should happen right.
These are people we must not tolerate in any way to fulfil their aims against us the majority.
It’s so embarrassing when I listened to the interview of the US Ambassador on 98.1 speaking on clear terms that Sierra Leone does not have any credible institutions to conduct investigations into the issues of the just concluded elections which has raised so much concerns to many Sierra Leoneans about its fairness, transparency and credibility.
But looking at that statement of Ambassador Reiner, their is fact on it because all those institutions in Sierra Leone which are supposed to be seen independent, sincere and credible have all been compromised by politicians thereby making them to become not useful for lack of integrity.
What a big mess this country has been into. Who would then be independent, free, fair, trusted to conduct credible elections investigations locally? definitely the answer is no!
Our democracy has been put under siege by few individuals who do not have the country at heart.
How can you lead a country without the opposition’s participation into governance?
APC party has taken the right steps to restore confidence in our political landscape, the electioneering process which many Sierra Leoneans now believe is a total waste of time because at the end of the day, their votes will not be protected and the will of the people is never honoured.
Democracy is government of the people by the people and for the people but actions of one man or few have changed this concept.
This must not be encouraged for future reference because what goes around comes around. No matter how long it takes, one day it shall come to an end and things of this nature if re-occurs in our country Sierra Leone, one may not like it and would want to react then Sierra Leone will be like Somalia. Is that the country we all want to see become?
I strongly believe that none of us would like this country to go back to those horrible days when bombs and guns were flying over our heads living thousand souls to perish. In that light, it’s now very important for those people that want to put this country into chaos to consider this fact and do the needful.
ECSL , everybody is calling on you to save your image and the country because this whole issue is centred around you most especially.
To the leadership of APC party, I salute you with all those MPs, Councillors, Chairpersons, Mayors elected for your brilliant and bravery step you’ve taken to save democracy in our country Sierra Leone. Continue with the struggles at the end victory is for us all…
