DAVID SENGEH, THE NEW SIR.PATRICK HASTINGS /LORD JUSTICE TOM DENNING IN SLPP’S JURISPRUDENCE SETS IN MOTION THE TRAIN WRECK FOR THE VICE PRESIDENT DR.JULDEH JALLOH’S ELIMINATION AS THE 2028 TOP CONTENDER TO REPLACE THE CURRENT LEADERSHIP BY A SUBTLE REPLAY OF WHAT BEFELL SAM SUMANA AND VICTOR FOH SIMILARLY.

David Moinina Sengeh a man with extraordinary and plenipotentiary political powers albeit with no political mandate derived through the validity of the sanctity of the ballot box in his new role as “Lawyer” without the requisite admission to any Bar Association has presented his constitutional report containing nebulous provisions with borderline dictatorship clearly aimed at eliminating Dr.Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh from the competition in 2028..
The fundamental question one should ask is why on the face of the availability of eminently qualified men and women in the discipline of law in the party by far with superior antecedents can be marginalized in favor of a person with zero knowledge when it comes to jurisprudence.? For now that is an issue for another day.The nauseating aspect of what is contained in the document I have just received and perused is the focus of this edition.
Any rational person reading that document will not fail to come to the fundamental realization it sets out to carbon copy the power configuration in APC politics where the leader has descended to demigod status with undiluted power.
By inserting such draconian financial constraints, it hardly requires the nerdism of Cambridegenean scholarship to come to terms with the fact the process of elimination has now been firmly put in place and the ticket clearly is the vice president no matter how much anyone resorts to moral equivalence or denial.
This brings to mind the notion most people want to engage in politics but without the intellectual refinements and ingredients to make it worth the effort.
Assuming the gullible membership don’t see through what Sengeh’s Machiavellian tactics has done at the behest of his political boss and feed off the charade hook line and sinker, they will by the process of acquiescence be making the individual the Alpha and Omega on whose whims and caprices SLPP politics revolves as in the case of the APC even from without, that Ernest Bai Koroma continues to exert undue influence
For the miscellaneous collection of us who saw the SLPP from birth especially the SLPP of the eras of the two Margai’s, we don’t recall this level of dictatorship and eye watering level of totalitarian madness associated with how power was dispensed with on the part of a leader albeit Albert Margai sought to exert dominance and control of the party but thank God we had men in the likes of Kutubu KaiSamba, Luseni Brewa, Salia Jusu-Sheriff and other courageous members who stood up to him.The SLPP that came after me will never allowed one individual to impose anyone on them especially when it came to making crucial decisions as the current political leadership did by dumping on the party a fellow with no standing in Law to make decisions of such profound importance.
When Albert overstretched himself and ventured into chieftaincy matters, that was the beginning of his downfall.
I recall how Albert Margai’s own very cabinet Ministers threw him under the bus over the republican and one party issues, nor would they have tolerated the emergence of any cleavage/s outside the mainstream of the party itself, especially the womenfolk known as “JMB WING”.
If the so called intellectuals in the party allow what Moinina Sengeh the newly minted Sir.Patrick Hastings/Lord Justice Denning to foist on them as “CONSTITUTION “, the entire SLPP membership might as well surrender the whole entity to one man just like what the APC did and now struggling with the unintended consequences.
With the David Moinina Sengeh constitution which is nothing more than glorified power concentration in one person, the seeds of totalitarian madness has now been firmly rooted in the political consciousness of the SLPP.So with the sordid state of affairs, how can the SLPP lay moral claim to being a democratic entity with superior antecedents over the opposition APC party?
The Justice Edmund Cawan constitutional review report if enacted as submitted will certainly legitimize any claim of Sierra Leone being a true democracy. However, with the slow approach on the part of the SLPP to make the nation anything but a democratic entity, it is fair assessment to opine we are gradually headed for the dark days in the political landscape.
DAVID MOININA SENGEH, SLPP’S SIR.PATRICK HASTINGS/LORD JUSTICE TOM DENNING COMBINED ERECTS THE ROCK OF GIBRALTAR IN THE PATH OF A VERY HARD WORKING AND LOYAL VICE PRESIDENT DR.MOHAMED JULDEH JALLOH WITH VERY NEBULOUS PROPOSITION IN WHICH THE SITTING VICE PRESIDENT SHOULD VACATE HIS OFFICE FOR A WHOLE YEAR PRIOR TO CONTESTING THE PARTY’S PRESIDENTIAL TICKET.
