*A genuine advice to victims of the White Paper!*

The White Paper is out and as was rumoured the recommendations are serious issues. A lay man like me cannot comment on its fairness or the legality of the conclusions. That is best left to the legal minds to advise their clients.

However there is no doubt there will be flaws and if the several circulations from a few of those mentioned is anything to go by, then there appears some evidence of either mistaken identity or flawed conclusions.

It is difficult to advise people who feel seriously victimised by the recommendations and the judges; emotions are high and the pain could be very hurtful.

But there is a general rule Lawyers always use and that is when you have a legal issue, allow the lawyers to speak on your behalf. They know what to say and what not to say and they know how to protect your defence or promote your argument.

There is no doubt, even to a layman like me, that some of the comments and recommendations appear confusing in the White Paper. That is/was expected and it will be no surprise to see some or a good number cleared during the appeal process.

But the social media or public opinion court could be dangerous and as such I see the need to genuinely advise all those who feel victimised or offended by the Justices to find the courage to calm down, and allow your legal representatives to advise you. They know the law better and know the legal arguments that best suit your case.

Stay off social forums and public discussions and allow for the end of the legal process. If and when you are cleared there will be plenty of time to promote your innocence. This is the best for your case at this time.

*May Justice be served – the innocent be cleared and the guilty fulfil the recommended obligations.*

I am a friend, not a foe! I mean well!
