Ambassador Afsatu Kabba briefed about status of Sierra Leoneans in Nigeria

Sierra Leone’s High Commissioner to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ambassador Haja Afsatu Olayinka Ebishola Kabba meets with Sierra Leoneans based in Nigeria Chair Lady Haja Mariama Turay Abdul Kareem at her residence in Gana Street, Maitama, Abuja on Friday November 18 th. 2016.

Ambassador Haja Afsatu Kabba and the Chair Lady Haja Mariama Turay discussed several issues particularly the status of Sierra Leoneans based in Nigeria. Chair Lady Haja Mariama Turay told Ambassador Haja Afsatu Kabba that they are united with one voice in Nigeria despite some constraints of their livelihood especially so that the Global Economy particularly Nigeria is becoming difficult everyday.

Haja Mariama Turay furthered that they are abiding by the Rules and Regulations of their host country, Nigeria. Therefore as united as they are, they have succeeded in Registering with the Federal Republic of Nigeria Cooperate Affairs Commission (CAC) and now obtained their Certificate of Incorporation which legalise them in the formation of Sierra Leoneans in Nigeria (SLNA).She displayed the Certificate and all other relevant Documents that legalise them to operate as according to the Laws of the Land.

Responding, Ambassador Haja Afsatu Kabba congratulated the Chair Lady Haja Mariama Turay Abdul Kareem for their wonderful success in Registering and securing a Certificate as according to the Law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and their unity as a family in Nigeria. Ambassador Haja Afsatu Kabba promised to meet with the Executive of Sierra Leoneans based in Nigeria (SLNA) from time to time to address some of the problems facing them in Nigeria.
