The Chairman and Leader of the All People’s Comgress, President Dr Ernest Bai Koroma yesterday attended the launching ceremony of the All People’s Congress Veterans Welfare Association (VETWA) under the theme “Arise to continue the Political Struggle” on Saturday at the Miatta Conference Center, Brookfields, Freetown.
President Koroma paid glowing tribute to past leaders of the All People’s Congress (APC ) who fought hard to ensure the party survives the turbulent waters of the past. He said that if there were no veterans in the past the APC would not have been in power today. He encouraged party stalwarts to be patient as there is more in store for everyone, and added that everyone has a role to play. “Everybody is important even the Abacha trader is important in the party, and we should appreciate that.”

President Koroma described the formal launch of the Veterans Welfare Association as very much timely, saying that with this the APC will live forever.
Hon. I.B. Kargbo presents certificate of recognition to the Chairman and Leader of the APC, President Dr Ernest Bai Koroma as the Honorary Grand Chief Veteran of the party.
He urged all to take the upcoming census very seriously because it will help the government to plan very well for the people of Sierra Leone, and also encouraged party stalwarts to pay attention on the Constitutional Review Process.
