“Big lie,” says Osman Yansaneh : APC MPs and councilors have not decided to take seats

CALABASH NEWSPAPER STORY IS A BIG LIE, SAYS OSMAN YANSANEH —APC HAS NOT DECIDED TO RETURN TO PARLIAMENT OR GOVERNANCE

By Kabs Kanu

Ambassador Osman Yansaneh, the Deputy leader of the opposition All People’s Congress ( APC ) has just disclosed in an exclusive interview with the COCORIOKO Newspaper that the Freetown Calabash newspaper lied in its report today that APC MPs and councilors will take their seats when the next session opens.

Speaking with confidence and authority as usual, Dr. Yansaneh, the dynamic stalwart who has been at the helm of the APC for long, said that whoever told the Calabash newspaper the story was only trying to be untruthful and undermine the collective ethos of the mighty APC.

Ambassador Yansaneh said that the APC could not have taken such a decision when the proposed dialogue between the APC and the SLPP, to be presided over by the Commonwealth, the African Union ( AU) and the Economic Community of West African States ( ECOWAS ) has not even been held .

“No, it is a lie. APC MPs and councilors are not taking their seats in Parliament or the council “ , Ambassador Yansaneh strongly insisted . Any decision on the matter will come from the oncoming dialogue between the SLPP and the APC, Dr. Yansaneh told COCORIOKO emphatically.

The Calabash newspaper, in a report , headlined “AS SESSIONS RESUME, APC MPs TO OCCUPY THEIR SEATS IN THE 6TH PARLIAMENT “, stated today that” a reliable source within the hierarchy of the APC “ had informed the paper that “its elected members of Parliament, mayors, councilors and other elected personalities will assume their rightful positions upon the reopening of parliamentary sittings in the coming weeks . “

Ambassador Yansaneh is calling on all grassroots and members of the APC to ignore the report because it is a blatant lie.

When this erroneous and potentially destabilizing report was posted by the Calabash newspaper this morning, it provoked an immediate response from APC supporters who started frantically calling the Publisher of the Cocorioko newspaper, Ambassador Leeroy Wilfred Kabs-Kanu ( A senior Adviser of the party in America ) for verification. The publisher quickly called Ambassador Yansaneh, who immediately refuted the story .
