When COCORIOKO exposed the story at Facebook that President Maada Bio offered to bribe members of Parliament of the opposition All People’s Congress $100,000 and a sports utility van each to support the illegal constitutional amendments, Sierra Leone People’s Party ( SLPP ) members went haywire with denials and insults.
But now the Leader of the opposition APC , Mr. Abdul Kargbo has dropped a bombshell by exposing the scandal .
Only somebody with a willful propensity to refute the known and characteristic corruption tactics of Bio would have denied such a possibility as President Bio has lived through his rule bribing his way locally and internationally to get whatever he wants. It would have been surprising if Bio did not try to bribe the MPs.
Officially, neither President Bio nor the SLPP had denied the scandal but myriad of supporters in the social media and on local media have been condemning the revelation as false.
