CHARLES MARGAI’S ACTIONS BACKED BY PMDC : MORIE MUSSAFFA
A senior member of the People’s Movement For Democratic Change ( PMDC) , Mr. Morie Mussaffa , has said that the party fully backed the actions of its leader and Presidential candidate, Mr. Charles Margai.
The first PMDC official to respond to reports that the party was dissatisfied with the choice of running mate for the leader in the forthcoming elections, Computer Programmer and Business Man, Mr .Mussaffa lamented that there were divisive elements in the party with hidden agendas and they were the ones providing false information about the PMDC to the public.
“Trust me, Rev. there was little surprise in Charle’s choice.” , he told COCORIOKO last night. ” Some of those who have been claiming they were the intended choice (on an apparent “short list”), were flatly wrong and they knew it all along. Their best hopes were on the “long list” quite a while ago. Their so-called surprised statements now were, in fact, a ploy. At the time when you reported in Cocorioko of their being a probable choice they had already been eliminated much earlier with their knowledge. Some of them may have known it immediately after the National Conference.”
Mr. Mussafa said this of Charles Margai and his choice of running mate : “A LEADER MUST BE BORN TO LEAD NATURALLY. And its to this adage that I must confirm that Charles Margai of the Peoples Movement for Democratic Change (PMDC), has undertaken the leadership role to be the first amongst the top three presidential candidates to sucure and declaring his running mate. He is no ther than the venerable, respectable man of integrity, charisma and leadership, in the name of Dr. Ibrahim Jalloh, former Minister of Health under Tejan Kabba. “
