Lieutenant General Peter Kakowou Lavahun , the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) of the Republic Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF), said that the November 26, 2023 incident in Sierra Leone was not a military coup attempt. The Army Chief also said that there was no connection between the incident and former President Ernest Bai Koroma.

If the Army chief said that it was not a coup attempt, why did President Maada Bio and his SLPP junta-styled government come out with the allegations that it was an attempted coup ? Why are they now accusing former President Koroma that he has a hand in the so-called coup attempt ?
