The nation was at edge again today, Friday December 8, 2023 as Ex-President Ernest Bai Koroma reported to the CID where he was invited as the SLPP government continues its investigations into the Sunday November 26 coup attempt.
Rabid SLPP extremists and bitter rebel APC members who hate the former head of state to their guts, who do not respect anything like truth, common decency and God anymore, were busy today spreading false stories that Dr.Ernest Bai Koroma has been put under house rest but the Ex- President’s media team and BBC Correspondent, Umaru Fofana, quickly dispelled the lie.
In Sierra Leone today, thanks to the lawless atmosphere the Maada Bio government has engendered in Sierra Leone, there is no longer any PRESUMPTION OF INNOCENCE until found guilty or DUE PROCESS of the Law.
It is shocking to hear vengeful bloodhounds of people on social media calling for the blood or head of the former President. They are so full of hate that they would rather see him torn to pieces, limb by limb but God will not allow their devilish desires to come to fruition.
The law has not proved yet that Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma has anything to do with the coup. The government has the burden of proof to prove that he was an acvomplice to the coup attempt, beyond a reasonable doubt.
THE Ex- PRESIDENT ‘S OFFICE REPORTS
This morning, Friday 8th December, 2023, Sierra Leone’s former president HE Ernest Bai Koroma reported to the Criminal Investigation Department in central Freetown. He was honouring a police invitation he received yesterday to assist the police with their investigation into the disturbances of Sunday 26th November.
The statesman had strongly condemned the unfortunate violent events and expressed determination to fully cooperate with the police. Reiterating his unwavering commitment to Sierra Leone’ peace and democracy, Former President Koroma has also urged for the due process to be followed and for the rule of law to prevail. He was accompanied by his attorneys led by Joseph Fitzerald Kamara.
