Dear International Community Members of the Diplomatic Corps,
There is no flag large enough to cover the shame of killing innocent and defenceless citizens of the Republic of Sierra Leone.
No cause justifies the deaths of innocent citizens.
I prefer a prison full of criminals than a graveyard full of innocent people. There are many things worth living for, a few things worth dying for, and nothing worth killing for.
President Julius Maada Bio killing of innocent civilians is terrorism, not a war against terrorism. Many of our civilians are going to be killed in this June 24th, 2023 general elections.
Well, the U.N. Security Council resolution 1973 is very clear. It says all necessary measures to be taken to protect civilians and civilian areas. I mean, that to me is very clear, including an end to the current attacks against civilians, which it said might constitute “crimes against humanity” .
President Julius Maada Bio has killed more people than any other sitting President of the Republic of Sierra Leone since we gained Independence from the British government, and we are waiting to see what the British government and International Criminal Court (ICC) would do to him after June 24th, 2023.
