Many police and army officers associated with the opposition All People’s Congress ( APC) have been killed by Sierra Leone People’s Party ( SLPP ) security forces and top officials of the opposition have suffered illegal searches , seizures and arrests since the heavy shooting in Freetown on Sunday, which the SLPP attributed to a failed coup attempt.
Among those killed in the wake of the alleged coup plot are the famous former rebel and close-circuit security of ex-President Ernest Koroma of the APC , Idrissa Kamara, better known as Leather Boots , who was dragged from his home and shot dead, with his body left lying on its side in the hot sun, eyes glaring and displayed for public viewing for hours before being removed.
SLPP security forces also shot and killed military Corporal Eddie Conteh, one of the present bodyguards of former President Koroma, who was needlessly shot and killed at point blank range in his compound, while his colleague, Warrant Officer John Swarray was abducted by the same government forces.
Also allegedly shot and killed was another one- time Ernest Koroma security Sorieba Mansaray. Other reports said he was shot in the leg.
Leatherboots was picked up at home fully dressed in civilian attire and massacred. People say he was not part of the shooting and had actually come to Sierra Leone from Guinea where he was in exile to sort out some property issues with his estranged wife. He was unlucky to be in Sierra Leone during the crises, people allege.

KASHO HOLLAND -COLE ARRESTED
Waterloo Police led by the Support Officer initiated a search at the residence of Chairman Kasho J Holland-Cole. They alleged that Chairman Kasho Cole is in possession of arms and ammunition, as well as the harboring escaped prisoners from Pademba Road Prison.
This action came after thorough searches were conducted on his family houses in Ibo Town, Waterloo.
Searches were also conducted at his house in John Obey, Peninsular.
Kasho J. Holland Cole is the District Council Chairman of the Western Area Rural District Council who also double as the Regional Chairman of the All People’s Congress – Western Region.
Such allegations in a critical security moment in the country is Coming from unpatriotic individuals that wish to bring the good name of Chairman Kasho Cole into disrepute and tarnish his hard earned name and career in the country.
Chairman Kasho Cole is a law abiding and peace loving Sierra Leonean that has deligently served the country and still serving the country with commitment and utmost sincerity.
All the officers executed were either
unarmed or putting up no resistance.
