SIERRA LEONE BEAT LIBERIA BY A LONE GOAL

LEONE STARS, the national team of Sierra Leone, scored a lone goal victory over LONE STARS, the Liberian national team in a crucial friendly match at the Southern Arena Stadium in Bo this afternoon.
The solitary but all-important goal came in the 67th minute when Jarjue Kabia stabbed in a delightful goal from a cross off the wing , to send Sierra Leoneans at the stadium into raptures , after a tense first half and early second half that saw the Liberians enjoy some good measure of ball possession against a however more organized and incisive Leone Stars , dangerous on the attack.
The victory is a huge boost to the morale of the players and the nation , in view of recent developments in the Leone Stars camp when the head coach of the team, former international soccer hero, Mohamed Kallon, was fired and replaced by a temporary coach, John Keister, before a Spanish trainer was named the new coach.
There will be a second leg of this match on Tuesday at the SKD Stadium in Monrovia where both men and female national teams of Sierra Leone have been enjoying successful outings over other countries. Sierra Leone are determined to win even that second leg match to establish home- and- away advantage over one of their bitter rivals in West African football.
The friendly series were arranged to test the strength of both teams who are about to engage in important international competitions.
