More civil society leaders condemn President Bio

Thomas Moore Conteh, the Executive Director of Citizens Advocacy Network, one of the leading civil society organizations in Sierra Leone has added his voice to the trending topic which has to do with the indefinite suspension of the Auditor General by the President.

He is of the conviction that such an act is a ploy by the Bio Administration to undermine our nation’s transparency and accountability aspirations.
We also share a similar view with Thomas.

Suspending someone who has been exposing corruption without fear or favor is definitely a heartless attempt to undermine transparency and accountability and to promote corruption and racketeering.

Ibrahim Tommy, the Executive Director of Center for Accountability and Rule of Law, has also added his voice to the trending topic in Salone. In fact, he was feeling annoyed when he made this Facebook post. He believes the unexplained suspension is ill-advised, untimely and unfortunate. He is not convinced such an action is the right way to inspire confidence in our public finance management efforts.
The decision to suspend the Auditor General indefinitely has received an overwhelming condemnation from all quarters.
