New confirmed cases of Ebola drop to 31 in today’s update

The new confirmed cases of Ebola dropped further to 31, according to  today’s update from the Sierra Leone Ministry of Health and Sanitation.  Kailahun, Kenema and Kono registered 0 new cases , along with Bonthe, Moyamba , Pujehun and Tonkolili.  Even the new confirmed cases for the Western Area dropped significantly.

As a newspaper , we hope these figures will continue to go down .

The week started on a troubling note with Western Area, Port Loko and Bombali reporting high cases. But the numbers started going down on Tuesday. We hope the trend continues. While no meanings  can be read on these new numbers as yet, the whole nation is praying that with all the efforts being expended by the reigning Government, with the backing of the international community , this dreaded ebola outbreak would be ultimately contained .
