OUR COMPORTMENT ABROAD AFFECTS THE IMAGE OF OUR NATION

When I first went to Liberia, the image propounded in that country about Sierra Leoneans that bothered me most was that Sierra Leoneans were rogues. Wherever I went, I was greeted with that slur. After living in the country for a while,I learnt that , though some of those giving that stigma to Sierra Leoneans were Xenophobic, the fact remained that far too many Sierra Leoneans were promoting the image of rogues and that contributed to the stigma.
Far too many Sierra Leoneans were being caught in criminal activities .A lot of them, for instance, studied Accounting and were employed in companies and corporations as Accountants where they either embezzled massive sums of money or ran away with the company’s funds. Those who regarded Sierra Leoneans as rogues because of these crimesby their countrymen were wrong and misguided , especially as there were hordesof other Sierra Leoneans engaged in genuine and legitimate professions and were contributing immensely to build Liberia. But this is one of the unfortunate and unintended consequences of our bad behavior in foreign countries. We must realise that our behavior in foreign countries reflect on the image of our nation.
Whatever we and wherever we go when we are in foreign lands,we have to realise that we are ambassadors of our nation. People will observe what we say and do and attribute it to the character of our nation .This is expecially so in a world that is not only becoming one small global village but is becoming more xenophobic , anti-semitic and intolerant to those who look different.
Below is a conversation between a citizen from the Bahamas and Sierra Leoneans in a discussion forum online. One would find much to quarrrel with reading the impression the citizen of Bahamas has about Sierra Leoneans. She is clearly generalizing after meeting only two Sierra Leoneans, and Ido not accept her views. However, her opinions teach me that one should be very careful how he treats nationals of other countries.
It is a fact that many African men are considered cheaters by foreign wives in this country because men seem to have that polygamous orientation embedded in them. One woman is never enough for them. But it is not only a Sierra Leonean and African problem .I have counseled Sierra Leonean women married to American or other foreign husbands who have also complained about infidelity by their spouses. However, we found that the woman from the Bahamas did not consider that fact in her assessment of the character of Sierra Leoneans because one man from our country who wasin her life turned out to be a cheater. What a difference it would have made to this man and the nation of Sierra Leone if he had been a faithful and loving husband.
The lesson we must all learn is that abroad we must be jealous of the image of our nation, if we love her.
I am concerned because truth to speak, Sierra Leoneans in general, do not have a favourable reputation abroad. I lived in Liberia for 12 years and saw how Sierra Leoneans behaved in that country. This is especialy so with the dropouts who made their way to the country to al;so seek the golden fleece .Their comportment is disgraceful.
THANKFULLY, the problem is not pronounced in the United States of America. Because of the hard work, seriousness and dedication to one’s own dreams required in living in America , most Sierra Leoneans here behave well .However we must still be cognizant of the fact that we are ambassadors of our country and what we do reflection the image of our nation.
Let us treat other people with due respect , especially if they are from other countries. Who knows, we may be contributing to the projection of a pleasant image of SWEET SIERRA LEONE.

GOODBYE DR. FROGIE SORIE KAMARA, HOPEFULLY!

I hope this is going to be my final goodbye to Sorie I. Kamara. For this goodbye to be a final goodbye, however, frogie cannot attack me further with false allegations and then hope to rest his keyboard as
Dr. Sorie I. Kamara’s proposes to do but only after another set of baseless attacks in today’s edition of Cocorioko.net. But the frog doctor is free to do whatever he wishes. Any further follow-up from me would depend on what he comes up with again, if any.
ENDORSING BEREWA WAS THE TRIGGER
It must be understood that it was this Dr. Sorie I Kamara who initiated attacks against me merely because I chose to endorse VP Berewa for our next president in succession to Tejan Kabbah and for no other reason. He apparently wanted me to endorse some flunky drop-out tribalist.

The Sorie Kamara I know is the Sorie Kamara who wrote in Leonenet-Tamu in 2005 that I am anti-all Northerners only to be rebuked and corrected. It is the same Sorie I. Kamara who spent seven years trying to falsely label me as anti-Limba. Few, if any, person believed him because his feeble-mindedness is common knowledge.
NO ONE SAID FROGIE IS LIMBA
Dr. Sorie Kamara, the frog experimenter, now tries to deny his anti-Limba campaign against me by claiming that he is not Limba. Nobody ever said he was a Limba. And if someone wishes to derogate someone as anti-Limba, that someone does not have to be a Limba when campaigning to pin the anti-Limba label on someone whose work helped to defeat Foday Sankoh and Johnny Paul’s blood-thirsty savages of killers, maimers, arsonists, thieves and rapists.
At any-rate, I am delighted that Dr. Sorie I. Kamara has not denied, despite the two opportunities I have presented him with, that he was the one who wrote in Leonenet-Tamu that I was anti-all Northerners and that he was the one who was promptly rebuked for his falsity by a most respectable Northerner in the same Leonenet-Tamu.
CROOKED ALLIANCE
Apart from the above, the harassing telephone calls and the ‘pan beating’ at the embassy, I also know that this Sorie I. Kamara purported to join the SLPP Washington, DC chapter mid-last year at the eleventh hour but only to team up with pro-PMDC types such as one notorious former APC, PDP, Grand Alliance ex-MP to do evil.
The arrangement was to send the ex-MP by crooked means to the SLPP Convention in Makeni. They succeeded and this SLPP newcomer ex-MP went on to vote for the now PMDC candidate. When they failed to get what they had hoped for, they both promptly bolted by pre-arrangement from the SLPP to the PMDC.
All of those political turncoats are fickle-minded political remedial opportunists, hopping from party to party in search of personal benefits. These harlot PMDC opportunists foolishly believed I will be joining them at some opportune time to help them with their hijacking of the Third Force. Instead, came my Berewa Endorsement Bombshell!! Insults upon insults were thereupon rained upon me – all to no avail

At no time, however, in all the years we both lived in Washington, did I see frogie once at any SLPP meeting or function. Nor has he ever helped the party or contributed in any SLPP fundraising drive. Hence to me, this Sorie I. Kamara was an SLPP member only by osmosis. He was in SLPP for personal benefits only.

This same Sorie I. Kamara is the very individual who wrongfully insists to others every time someone mentions my name, and has he has done again today, that I boast as being “the most learned, most educated Sierra Leonean of all times”. He is a jealous liar.
I have never made any such boast at any time, any where. If the paramedic wishes to acknowledge that certain of my qualities are superior to his, he is free to acknowledge them but he must accept the responsibility for his choice and not ascribe his choice to me or another.

When I came to the independent conclusion that the whole arrangement was corrupt, I walked out at the time of my choice. I am pleased to note, that the crooks who organized and managed the SLPP 2002 Convention have been voted out of office and are today held in very low esteem by party members. But I have no animosity towards them as they practiced the Afro politrics they grew up with.

On the other hand, the fight I put up outside the government has now resonated throughout the party and the country. Even PMDCers are angry I am with Berewa, and not with their flunky drop-out group of remedials, dunces and a single frog experiment that Dr. Sorie Kamara, the feeble-minded, disappointed political harlot PMDC frog paramedic has milked for over 30 years.
GENUINE LEADERSHIP IS SCARE
Standing up for what is right and proper in a place like Sierra Leone that is full of opportunists and harlot politicians is a tough thing to do and an even tougher act to follow. I stood up, took it on my chin and guess what? Who is today most thought of most positively by the rank and file?

Those cultured few who were in Bo 2002 and who stood up fearlessly for the stance I took are the ones today facilitating my involvement in the 2007 elections. Furthermore, strangers, regardless of tribe, are calling me long-distance from deep inside SLeone, asking me which party I am with – that’s the party they wish to vote for. They are sick and tired of crookedness, incompetence, poverty and opportunistic political harloting.
On the other hand, those who got away with crookedness in Bo in 2002 have become party lepers and political liabilities. But this Sorie I. Kamara is so feeble-minded he does not understand these developments. Instead, he continues to boast and brag about crooks kicking me out of Bo in 2002. Dunce flunky!

Perhaps, Dr. Sorie Simpleton Kamara is confusing me with his fickle-minded, flunky leader who has frequently threatened to resign and has resigned from such parties as the APC, SLPP (three times) and NUP (twice). Now he is with PMDC, the party of flunky worshipers.

Kamara’s flunky leader threatened to resign as minister (Internal Affairs), the president accepted the threatened resignation on the sport without waiting for any letter from, or change of mind by, the leader of flunkies. This decision by the president kicked Mr. Tribalist Minister out of the ministry that same day. Kabbah told me this himself.

Besides, our fickle frog is utterly confused about the sequence of events at the time.
For the information of the public, my British Council press conference was held prior to the Bo Convention because it was at the Bo Convention that discussions where to be held about the VP position. I was setting the stage for those negation with my press conference declaration.
Furthermore, this frog paramedic boasted that he grabbed his camcorder to record my purported resignation announcement because he claimed “the occasion … would have [been] a momentous and historic one.” This frog doc is feeble-minded indeed. Here is why:
If I was indeed kicked out of the Bo Convention as frogie falsely claimed, why would a subsequent announcement of my resignation amount to a momentous and historic one? It would have been exactly anti-climatic instead. It was my bid to be VP that was momentous and historic – you dunce frog head! You feeble-minded frog experimenter!

Lastly, I do not believe Frogie’s rubbish about the arrangements for his Russian paramedic education that was based on the lone frog experiment he talks about incessantly over 30 years. Admit it Dr. Sorie I. Kamara; yours was an APC political scholarship for substandard African students.
