The Ant- CorruptionCommission ( ACC) of Sierra Leone has intervened in the latest stinking corruption polluting the atmosphere in the country- SLPP Clerk of Parliament abusing his power and defrauding the nation by placing his wife on payroll and doling out U.S $ 1, 500 to her every month as salary, while she lives comfortably thousands of miles away in the United States.
Mrs. Rabiatu Tarawally was being paid from the coffers of Sierra Leone as Human Resources Manager of Parliament, while she was living in America . This is just a tip of the iceberg of the waves of corruption that have swamped Sierra Leone under the present SLPP Government, headed by Retired Brig. Maada Bio.
Even though she was not employed , Rabiatu Tarawally continued to receive a salary of U.S $ 1, 500 every month, even though she and her husband know that it was corruption of the highest order.
The Anti- Corruption Commission has asked Mrs. Rabiatu Tarawally to refund the money she received illegally and criminally while the investigations are goung on, but with corrupt members of the Maada Bio SLPP Government never being punished when caught with hands in the cookie jar, the enraged Sierra Leone public is concerned that nothing will come out of this criminal act by the Clerk of Parliament and his wife.
The shocking thing is that despite the huge outcry over the scandal and the intervention of the ACC, Mr. Paran Tarawally remains in office, though by now he should have been arrested by the Police because he and his wife committed criminal fraud, or at least removed from office. But the Bio government has followed a persistent policy of doing nothing to officials caught in corruption . Chances are Paran Tarawally will remain office, and later exonerated by the ACC as has been happening. This us the criminal government that the. Millennium Challenge Corporation ( MCC ) had the guts to give a pass for controlling corruption. Shame to the MCC.

Even though, ACC has made it clear that the accused returned some of the embezzlement funds but that doesn’t enough considering the nature of the crime.
In countries where they are serious to fight again this cankerworm by now Paran Tarawally and his accomplice should have been placed behind bars for knowing and doing. But for Sierra Leone the government is toying with the issue as if it is lawful as the alleged still occupies his position, moving freely without any harassments. What a state with jokers!
What is more astonishing, the clerk of parliament is the man who was so vociferous in the well, especially when the opposition MPs had a confrontation with the rulling class that led to the destruction of properties. He was allover the media demanded that those alleged MPs who disrupted the proceedings must face the wrath of their actions for disorderly behavior which later resulted to the seizing of their salaries, suspension and the like.
The clerk of parliament pretending to the people that he loved this country and he is a well discipline figure not knowing that he is one of the enemies of the state.
The citizens are still battling with their basic needs whilst these rogues were busy squandering public funds. Does that mean they are more blessed than those you have punished, especially the opposition members as a result of corruption?
Imagine what they have defalcated if it should have been used to subsidize for university students, provide safe drinking water, improve on the health system, by now the country would have moved forward in the area of development.
This administration seems to be full of ‘Ayampis’ as they have decided to let the masses perish whilst they are living luxurious lives.
Without any hesitation, Paran Tarawally and his cupboard lover should be placed under the mango tree/ capital clock tower as the ACC had done it to the poor teachers who they were accused of examination malpractices. Paran Tarawally and his glutton wife deserved nothing like public disgrace to the latter!
This is another battle would either rebrand Anti-Corruption Commission status or wane its credibility completely.
The citizens are therefore continuously demanding that, Paran Tarawally should step aside whilst the investigation is ongoing or else they will demonstrate against the commissioner.
