President Dr Ernest Bai Koroma has declared a civic funeral as a mark of respect for comrade Ambassador Gibril Santigie Moseray Fadika, the late business magnate, investor, philanthropist and flag bearer aspirant of the All People’s Congress (APC). The president in his capacity as chairman and leader of the ruling APC made the pronouncement whilst delivering a brief tribute for the late man at the Fadika family house at Magazine Cut, central Freetown.
President Koroma described the passing of comrade Fadika as a huge loss to the nation and assured the family that the APC will take full ownership of the funeral. On behalf of government and all Sierra Leoneans, he conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the Fadika family and prayed that the good Lord grant comrade Moseray Fadika eternal rest and peace.
The Head of State pointed out that the late Moseray Fadika had prayed for himself through hard work and his generosity to the people of Sierra Leone.
Former Sierra Leone High Commissioner to the Republic of The Gambia, Ambassador Kemoh Fadika said Moseray had very good intentions for the APC and the country, adding that his late brother worked hard for the party. He described the APC as a grateful party and assured of his unflinching loyalty at all times.
The president was accompanied by Vice President Ambassador Dr Victor Bockarie Foh, cabinet ministers, government functionaries, as well as party execs and stalwarts.
