President Ernest Koroma heads for AU Summit in Malabo

President Ernest Bai Koroma will be attending the  23^rd Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the Union will be held in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea from 20 – 27  June 2014.

An African Union ( AU ) statement notes that  “It is to be recalled that by Decision Assembly/AU/Dec.4 22 (XIX) adopted on 16 July 2012, the Assembly has decided to proclaim 2014 as the “Year of Agriculture and Food Security” and this would be also the theme of the 23^rd Ordinary Sessions of the Assembly of the Union scheduled for 20 – 27 June 2014 in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.”

According to the release :

The schedule of meetings of the AU Summit in Malabo is as follows:

a)      Permanent Representative Committee of Ambassadors (PRC): 20 – 21 June 2014.

b)      25^th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council: 23 – 24 June 2014.

c)       23^rd Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of States and Governments: 26 – 27 June 2014.

Accreditation for the Summit is open to local and international NGOs.
