PRESIDENT JULIUS MAADA BIO CONTINUES TO DISREGARD AND DISRESPECT THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY

This medium continues to expose how the illegal President Julius Maada Bio, who has no credibility, continues to disregard and disrespect Sierra Leoneans and the international moral guarantors, the European Union, United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Iceland, and other civilised nations.
We want to bring to the attention of the world that Julius Maada Bio is a man of very dangerous and deceptive character who is not fit to be treated with dignity. Such a man must not be acceptable in a civilised society.
Below is a list of national and international commitments he has disregarded:
1.1. The United Kingdom/Commonwealth National Electoral Pledge (signed May 25, 2023).
2. U.S. Congress House Resolution 548 (introduced June 23, 2023), which encouraged a peaceful and credible electoral process.
3. Violations of the 1991 Constitution and the 2022 Public Elections Act during the conduct of the 2023 elections.
4. The Agreement for National Unity mediated by Ecowas – Cedeao, the African Union, and The Commonwealth (signed October 18, 2023).
5. The Tripartite Committee investigation report involving the opposition APC, the Government, and the United Nations (signed July 1, 2024).
6. The deliberate refusal to extradite Europe’s most-wanted convicted drug baron, BOLLE JOS LEIJDEKKERS, despite repeated efforts by the Netherlands and Belgian governments to extradite him to face justice for large-scale narcotics trafficking into European countries.
Sierra Leoneans want the whole world to see how deceptive and dangerous Julius Maada Bio is. These key national and international commitments, which any civilised and decent leader would respect and implement, have been deliberately disregarded by Julius Maada Bio. He clearly does not understand what decency in leadership means.
That is why Sierra Leoneans are appealing to world leaders to help hold him accountable. Sierra Leoneans are suffering from extreme poverty and are losing lives because of illicit narcotics consumption. Julius Maada Bio is not our president. He did not win the 2023 election. He has captured the military, police, judiciary, and all government institutions to suppress democratic values.
