Sierra Leone and Algeria forge closer ties in Seoul

The Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, H.E. Ambassador Mohammed Elamine Derragui today 9th June 2015, paid a courtesy call on Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Korea, H.E. Omrie Michael Golley at Sierra Leone’s Mission in Seoul.

Conveying fraternal greetings from the President, government and people of Algeria to President Ernest Bai Koroma, and the Government and people of Sierra Leone, H.E. Ambassador Derragui expressed his pleasure at paying a courtesy call on his colleague and brother and hoped for continuing cordial relations between the two countries which have spanned decades. The Ambassador further stated his willingness to engage in discussions with his counterpart on Korean, as well as Algerian and regional issues.

Responding, H.E. Ambassador Omrie Golley indicated that he was especially honored to receive his colleague and brother from Algeria thanked the Ambassador for paying a visit to him. He introduced the Minister Plenipotentiary Mr James TA Sawi and Second Secretary Steven Levey of the Sierra Leone Mission in Seoul and a gave a brief discourse on the Government’s efforts to eradicate the Ebola Virus Disease and post Ebola recovery plans.
