Honestly speaking Sierra Leoneans are well known for their hospitality all over the world, especially in Africa. But ironically many of them hate each other. But they love foreigners. They have high respect for strangers. But unfortunately they do not have respect among themselves. You can attest this to what is happening in the social media. Where they are showing their pull him down (PhD) syndrome. By castigating their compatriots unnecessarily. Some of them just because of jealousy and envious evil spirit they possess. They prefer to promote foreigners than their own brothers and sisters both in and out of the country.
Day in day out they are insulting each other.They are using all sorts of vulgar languages against each other. And even their own highly respected president in the world, President Ernest Bai Koroma they are insulting him openly. Therefore, it is an open secret that many Sierra Leoneans are not well cultured.
Regardless of their level of education they still have their village crude way of life. Such unpatriotic attitudes and behaviours are very hard to find among other countries’ citizens. Of course other countries’ citizens love themselves more than foreigners. Some of them have little respect for foreigners in their countries.
But what really wrong with some fellow Sierra Leoneans? Some of them how they hate each other so they hate to see peace and development in their country. It is really becoming a very serious burning issue among Sierra Leoneans at this atomic Age. Especially for peace, unity, progress and development loving patriotic Sierra Leoneans who are pondering about the behaviour of their compatriots. An age that some Sierra Leoneans should give away their crude way of thinking, particularly for the sake of progress and development of their nation. Although sometimes it is not easy for all of us to think alike.
But sometimes it is good to have some similarities in common. That will make life goes on smoothly as Sierra Leoneans. But everything negative in the minds of some Sierra Leoneans about their country. Why? Is it because of unpatriotic and unnationalistic selfish interest, political hatred, tribal hatred or regional sentiments? If those are the issues, what will you have to benefit when you destroy your country because of such inhumane caustic crude way of doing things?
Even some of the so-called elites both home and abroad many people are expecting much from them. But unfortunately they are worse than the ordinary Sierra Leoneans in the street. They hate to see peace and development in their country. If you listen to radios, you watch TVs, you read their writings, commentaries and some of the photos they show to the entire world about their country that will tell you who they are.
It’s like their country is the most poor, poor and poorest in the universe. They deliberately turned blind eyes to what is happening to some of the Western World that some of them live. Despite those countries are far ahead of us in terms of development. But they still have lots of areas or places to development or to improve, including health sector, housing, education, and unemployment rate. Come to Australia, there are many places that still need development.
If you come to Australia one of the richest countries in the world. When you see some houses you will not believe if it is the Australia that has the name. We still have rotten board houses (boad hose) and people are still sleeping in them. Please do not think I am talking about houses in the interior parts of the country.
I mean some of the main cities, including Sydney NSW. Still there are lots of “rotten boad hose”, old board houses. But that did not prevent the Australian government to embark on other new project programs that will bring more revenue in the country. They never say because they have housing problem, health problem or education issue therefore, they should not welcome or undertake other beneficial project for the development of their country.
But with Sierra Leoneans, especially those that sleep in the web of negativity. Nothing is good for them in the country. Because we have health problem, housing and educational problems as such, we should not undertake any other project that will generate more income that will assist in solving some of the long outstanding issues in the country.
Sierra Leoneans are the only citizens in the world that hate to hear someone praises their country or trying to bring development programs for the nation. Particularly for the poor and needy people. They will go all out to frustrate such programs by writing all forms of evil things against them.
The reason being, they hate to hear any good name of their country. They always want to hear that their country is the poorest and it is the most under developed country in the word. Therefore, if any bad thing happens in the world Sierra Leone name is not mentioned, they will not be happy.
Even some of the unpatriotic educated fools, they will not also feel happy about that. When “Panama documents fraud” issue came up while other countries’ citizens were busy praying not to name their countries in such a mess, some Sierra Leoneans were busy writing all sorts of rubbish against their country wanting it to be named, especially their president in the nuisance. Can you imagine?
Now the International Monetary Fund (IMF)has done it again for the country. By given a hooping sum of money for the country’s development. Instead of Sierra Leoneans thanking the IMF for the good thing they did for the country and praise the government for such achievement, they are on it again the unpatriotic inborn critics that hate peace and development in the country.
They are criticising IMF and President Ernest Koroma APC government. Why IMF should praise and support the good work of the government? For them alone if they have chance the country should continue to dwell in poverty. They want it to always be called or named the poorest of the poor. That is the time they will be very much happy. The country should not be among the modern system of development. Why Sierra Leoneans? Some of you, are you criticising because your kith and kin are not in the driver’s state vehicle seat? That is why you are against any good development project programs in the country? If it is so please STOP that. It is not a good citizen attitude. It is a satanic way of behaviour.
Fellow Sierra Leoneans, no one will say you should not criticise government and its institutions or individuals for poor performance or for bribery and corrupt practices in the country because no one knows it all. Even you that sleep in the web of criticism you do not know everything. There is no simultaneous development in any country in this whole world.
Therefore, no one can do everything at a go in this earth. Be it a government or individuals. In view of that you have the right to criticise as I said. But let your criticism be constructive. It should not be based on political hatred, tribalism, regional sentiments or on personal grudge. Therefore, we should criticise when necessary and praise or support when necessary for the good of our nation.
So the western world countries that we live citizens or oppositions are doing. They do not just criticise blindly, especially because of hatred. They criticised some of their government policies that they think are not good for their countries and support those that they know they will yield dividend for their nation. But they are not always naively opposing, opposing like how some evil Sierra Leoneans are doing. Such attitudes and behaviours are not patriotism and nationalism.
Coming to the newly constructed Toll road issue in the country which is a modern system of road transportation route. Some Sierra Leoneans are currently busy criticising it. Even when they know that there are always pros and cons of everything in this universe. Some of them do not want to know about the benefits that such road will bring to the nation like the revenue that it will generate, the discipline that it will institute against lawless drivers, the reduction of accident and traffic congestion. They always look at the negative part of the toll road to brain wash the gullible masses to score political goals at the expense of the country’s development.
Going back to the proposed new Mamammah International Airport project program that will give more face lift to the country. Particularly in terms of international airport standard system in the country. But enemies of progress and development to them, it is not good. For them alone Sierra Leone should not move forward towards modern standard of development. The country should still live in the traditional way of life. Although some of them live in modern world countries they still think naively like some of our poor people in the remote villages because of bad heart.
Therefore, because of such narrow minds way of thinking the country should not have any alternative means of international airport transportation system. So if there is any problem at the one and only small Lungi Airport there should be no other alternative means of airport that will remedy the situation because of political hatred and regional sentiments.
Even though when we have the example with bitter experience in our hands, that is when ECOMOG occupied the one and only Lungi International Airport during the AFRC trial and tribulation period. How people suffered, especially those that wanted to escape from the ugly situation. We still deliberately refusing to learn from that.
And the other unforgeable historical date of “January 6” when the sobels also occupied the Ferry Junction. The one and only road to Lungi Airport from the capital city. You know what happened. I don’t have to tell you. You have to honestly put aside your political hatred and regional sentiments to welcome the construction of the new modern standard International Airport in the country as an alternative because of some of the issues mentioned above.
Some of you talking about the construction of the Lungi bridge. Yes, it is very good to talk about it. But I would like you to understand that it is the construction of the New Airport opportunity that fist came to us. Therefore, we have to make good use of that. And when we have another opportunity for the construction of the Lungi bridge we will also do likewise. But we should not turn our backs against what we have already had in hand for what we do not have yet. “Take watin u get tay u get watin you want”.
SIERRA LEONEANS PLEASE STOP SLEEPING IN THE WEB OF NEGATIVITIY.ALLOW PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT TO TAKE PLACE IN THE COUNTRY.STOP THE EVIL BLIND CRITICISM.
