Someone tell Gento that we are not interested in someone’s ethnicity as a requirement for election as Mayor of the city. What is important is whether a candidate is competent or not.
I believe that Aki-Sawyer is far more competent than Gento. Gento was never a entrepreneur in the true sense of the word. He was a beneficiary of the corrupt system. What South Africans call “contract-preneur” I.e. those who get huge contracts from the state on account of their corrupt dealings and connections with people running the state.
In other words what Maada Bio and David Francis called “criminal racketeering syndicate” what does it say about Maada Bio and the SLPP that Gento, one of the biggest beneficiary of this “criminal racketeering syndicate” is the Mayoral candidate for the SLPP?
To me it is a clear evidence that SLPP has always been part of the criminal racketeering syndicate in our country.
If Gento cannot run a campaign on a better platform other than ethnicity (whether the candidate is a Krio or not), it only shows that he’s not competent for the job. Gento (the SLPP mayoral candidate for Freetown) is clearly the biggest beneficiary of EBK’s and APC’s “criminal racketeering syndicate”. Beware of Gento and the SLPP criminal racketeers.
