U.S . Congress must still give final approval of Sierra Leone’s MCC Compact U.S.$480 grant before SLPP can lay hands on the funds

The United States Congress will have to give its final approval before Sierra Leone can lay hold on the Millennium Challenge Corporation  U.S $480 million grant the MCC approved yesterday. Despite the MCC approval, the grant has to go through Congressional approval before a Compact is signed.

A prior statement by the U.S Embassy before the meeting where the MCC gave its approval  and remarks by Vice-Presidenint of Sierra Leone, Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh,  yesterday  supplied this piece of vital information the over-exuberant Paopa SLPP Government failed to inform its rabid supporters on social media presently busy trolling rival supporters of the APC.

The disbursement of Compact funds is still contigent upon sustained democratic progress and substantial progress on the implementation of the final recommendations of the Tripartite Committee, according to the U.S Embassy.
