Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, His ExcellencyAmbassador Omrie Michael Golley, on Friday 29th April 2016, played host to African Heads of Mission based in Seoul at the monthly meeting of the African Group of Ambassadors.
The Monthly meeting of the African Group of Ambassadors is held on a rotational basis with the Head of Mission of the 18 African Embassies in Seoul each hosting in turn. The monthly meetings are the focal point at which common regional issues affecting the African continent are discussed, additionally, on the state of diplomatic, trade and cultural relations between the Republic of Korea and Africa.
There are 18 African Missions currently stationed in Seoul, including Sierra Leone, Angola, Nigeria, Rwanda, Ghana, Ethiopia, Egypt and Sudan.
At the April meeting of the African Group, Ambassador Omrie Golley said that he was honoured, on behalf of the Republic of Sierra Leone to host the Group Meeting and expressed his appreciation at the large turnout of his colleagues to the meeting. The Dean of the African Group of Ambassadors in Seoul, His Excellency Mohamed Chraibi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco in turn, thanked Ambassador Golley for playing host and treating his colleagues to a luncheon at the conclusion of their deliberations.
