World HAPPINESS index : Sierra Leone deteriorated 46 places from mid-table during Ernest Koroma era to third bottom during Maada Bio’ s tenure

SIERRA LEONE DETERIORATED SERIOUSLY IN THE WORLD HAPPINESS INDEX AFTER PRESIDENT MAADA BIO CAME TO POWER IN 2018.

How much unhappiness President Maada Bio has inflicted on the people of Sierra Leone can be clearly seen when you compare Sierra Leone’s ratings in the 2014 to 2018 World Happiness rankings to the UN- sponsored 2023 report just released on World Happiness Day by Gallup  on March 20, 2023.

THIS IS THE KIND OF NEWS NO SIERRA LEONE PEOPLE’S PARTY ( SLPP) AND PRESIDENT BIO WOULD WANT TO HEAR NOW AS SIERRA LEONE HEADS INTO ELECTIONS IN A FEW MONTHS. But the facts are very clear. Sierra Leone became the third most unhappiest country in the world after President Bio came to power.

The United Nations-sponsored report from the Sustainable Development Solutions Network has been tracking key indicators of happiness in countries around the globe from the Gallup World Poll since 2005. Their research came together for the first World Happiness Report in 2012, making this the seventh report.

To create the list, researchers use survey data from 156 countries on six factors that science has shown to indicate general well-being and happiness: GDP per capita, social support, freedom, generosity, healthy life expectancy and absence of corruption.

The latest report came out on March 20, which the United Nations has declared to be the International Day of Happiness.

Sierra Leone was the 105th happiest country in the world between 2014-2016 ( 49 places from the bottom )  when President Koroma was in power, according to the index compiled by the Gallup World Poll. Today Sierra Leone is the third unhappiness country in the world plunging to where there are only two countries unhappier than us. This is a very shameful statistics that President Bio should be ashamed of.

During the Maada Bio era, Sierra Leone plunged 49 places down the ladder.
