She Was Quite A Promising Woman, Tall And Beautiful, Her Smile Was The Kind Of Hope That We Desperately Needed. She Presented Herself And Her Husband Humbled And Ready To Serve. It Was All Rosery On The Outside And We Thought Her Role As A First Lady Would Serve As A Monument For Endless Generations To Admire, Alas, A Nigerian Author Wrote That βA Friend In Power Is A Lost Friendβ.
The Openness Of The APC Which Gave Way For The SLPP To Come To Power In 2018 Said Something About The Confidence Of Our Democracy. President Bio Is A Handsome Looking Man And With A Beautiful Woman By His Side, We Expected A Miracle, More So When Madam First Lady Claimed To Hail From Kono. At First, Her Several Visits To Kono And The Promise Of A Change Created An Impression That Made Us Accept The Descendant Status Of Madam Fatima Bio And Within A Blind Sweep Of Emotion, We Claimed Her To Be Our Sister, Attributed Her To The Very School That I Attended And Gave Her A Land To Construct Her House. We Loved Her And Demonstrated Our Courage And Strength By Voting Her Husband In Both 2018 And 2023 Elections.
On A Cold Afternoon, Yesterday, 15th June, 2025, At The Lower Level Elections In Kono, The Guards And Soldiers Acting Under The Command Of Madam First Lady, Brutalized Grassroots Members Of The Same SLPP, Live Rounds Were Fired At The Very People Who Fought Hard For The SLPP When It Was In Opposition. Honorable Members Were Disregarded, Molested And Forced Into Hidings For Fear Of Their Lives, Tear-Gas Were Fired At The Same People Who Took The Pain Of Bringing The SLPP To Power, Old Men And Women Of The Party Were Beaten And Forced To Leave The Election Ground And The Vibrant Young Men And Women Of The Party Were Unlawfully Arrested And Sent To Police Cells, Even An Innocent Journalist Who Was Only Doing His Job Was Stabbed By Police Officers Who Were Stationed At The Gate Of The First Lady.
The Events Yesterday Left Us To Wonder If Whether Our Leaders Embodied The Notion Of Law And Order, Or Whether They Remained Subject To Laws And Their Collective Conscience. SLPP, I Was Told, Is Not A Violence Party But The Notion Of It Being A Democratic Party Was Checkpoint Yesterday, Armed And Dragged To The Mud, It Was A Shameful Episode, All Because One Man Wanted To Feed Her Ego Even When The Delegates Outwardly Rejected Her Candidate She Could Not Succumb. Sadness Waved Through The Streets Of KOIDU Yesterday, Empty As Though It Was A War Zone And At Once, I Felt A Glancing Sadness At What Had Been Lost, It Was Shameful.

How Did We Arrive At This Point?. Many Things Had Happened Before We Finally Came To This Point But The Most Shocking One Is The Unbelievable Part Played By Madam First Ladyβs Handpicked Deputy Minister Of Sport, KAI Lawrence Mbayoh. Kai Was A Staunch Supporter Of APC Before The Emergency Of The Coalition For Change (C4C). On The Most Part, He Was A Councillor At KOIDU City Council When Hon. SAA Emerson LAMINA Was Mayor At The Time.
The Inside Of Kai Represented A Well Designed Struggler Who Stood For The Truth And The Libration Of Kono At The Most Trying Times In Our History When Hon. SAA Emerson LAMINA Was Unlawfully Removed As Mayor And When Sam Sumana Was Unconstitutionally Dismissed As Vice President. Kai Was There And He Stood In The Foyer And Let His Conscience Wrestled For Truth And For Liberation Against Those Who Had Vowed Against The Prosperity Of Kono. So When The C4C Was Formed, Kai Was Still There Until The Luminous Hour Came When The C4C Supported The SLPP In The 2018 Elections And Kai Declared For The SLPP To Gain Favor From The First Lady, Culminating To His Handpicked Appointment As Deputy Minister Of Sport.
Today, Kai Owns A Big House In Kono And News Has It That He Is Also Constructing A Hotel, Still, The More The Merrier, After All, Shakespeare Wrote That βAllβs Well That Ends Wellβ. Today, This Same Kai Has Become So Drunk With Power That He Has Lost All Admiration In Kono, To The Point That He Now Serves As One Of First Ladyβs Henchmen Who Would Burn Kono Just To Protect His Deputy Minister Position. He Did Not Stop There, He Went On Chasing Supporters Who Rushed Into The Paramount Chiefβs Compound For Safety And Refuge. Kai Chased Them With The Same Gun, Firing Live Rounds. This Last Minute Changes Of Kai Reminds Us Of Macbeth, The Wounded Captain In Shakespeareβs Play, βMacbethβ, Plagued By His Over Ambitious Nature Which Stems From His Fatal Confidence In The Witchesβ Prophecies, Killed King Duncan And Ambushed Banquo And His Son, Fleance, Who Had Been Prophesied Would Be King. Like Macbeth, Kai Has Been Made To Succumb To The Witcheβs Promise Of Keeping His Position In Return For The Brutality And Suffering Which He Would Cause To The Very People That Made Way For Him To Power.

The Story Of K.L.M And Solution Monjoro Is A Sad One. Solution Monjoro Sacrificed His Everything Just To Give K.L.M The Support And Political Assistance That He Needed. In Fact, It Was Only Solution Monjoro That Formed The K.L.M Media Team, A Team Of One Man Who Labored In The Obscurity Of Defending K.L.M And K.L.M Alone, And Today, This Same Handpicked Deputy Minister Of Sports Has Denounced This Young Man And Vigorously Used Power From Above To Send This Innocent Soul To Prison In Kenema. When Safea Spoke, Backed By The First Lady, One Could See That Safea Is Neither Accustomed With The Dictates Of The Party, Nor Welcoming The Interruptions That Seek To Put His Power On Check. Let Me Remind K.L.M Of How The APC Victimized And Arrested Him Many Times Over, All Because He Stood For The Truth At The Right Time, And How The Exigency Of Power Does Not Last Forever, It Is Only But A Matter Of Time. Let Me Also Remind Kai Of Former Minister Karamoh Kanjah Aka The New Sheriff In Town And The Several Atrocities That He Caused During The APC Regime In Kono. Where Is Karamoh Kabbah Today?. When You Misuse Your Power, It Will Come Back To Hunt You, No Matter How Long It Might Take. Kai, That Threat Of Arrest Falls On Deaf Ears And We Will Resist It Should You And Your Cronies Try Anything Unusual.
Madam First Lady, There Can Be No Easy Posture For Your Concocted Chairman To Maintain His Position In The SLPP In Kono. We Have Rejected Him And In So Far As We Know, Sall Hindolo Mansaray Is The Democratically Elected SLPP Chairman In Kono District. Safea Moiwa Has Never Been Fit For Purpose And We Cannot Allow Him To Take Our Party To The Gutter. Safea Moiwa Is A Business Man Who Can Only Go Around Looking For Free Overseas Travels So That He Can Make Money Out Of Par-Diems, Sleeping In Luxurious Hotels In China And Only To Return Home With Nothing, Abandoning The Grassroots To Suffer Perishability, We Resent Safea And His Illegal Leadership.
The Demand Of Party Loyalty And The Imperatives Of Campaigns That Can Set The Party To Victory Can Only Be Made By Chairman Sall Hindolo Mansaray, The Grassroots Politician Without Whom There Can Be No Victory For The SLPP In Kono. We Believe In Sall And The Leadership That He Will Provide And We Will Stand By Him Till The Very End. Nobody Will Force A Man Who Is Known Only For The Amplification Of Conflict In Our Beloved Party To Be Our Chairman In Kono, No Even The First Lady Who Used Iron Fist On Us On The 15th June, 2025. We Will Continue To Respectfully Reject The First Lady And Her Concocted Chairman.
We Expect The Political Operatives Of Madam First Lady To Solve Problems Instead Of Just Spending Millions Of Leones And Using Violence Just To Win A Lower Level Election. It Is Just Not Right. Perhaps If They Could Use The Same Tactics And Efforts To Ensure That The Presidentβs 2023 Manifesto Promises In Kono Are Delivered, We Would Not Have Been Here Fighting Over Leadership. The Promise Of The Kono – Guinea Road And The University Have All Been A Problem Facing A Shameful Delay. The Fundamental Values Of The Operatives Of First Lady In Kono Is That Their Values Are Underpinned By Their Selfish Quest For Money. They Are Motivated By Bad Faith, And Perhaps, They Are Bad People.
