Anti-Corruption staff allegedly bribed to cover corruption at SLMA

Augustine Foday Ngobie the Deputy Commissioner, Joseph Noah Chief of Investigations and Joseph Sellu Foray Head of Financial Crime Unit of the Anti – Corruption Commission have been allegedly bribed to manipulate the evidence in an alleged case of misappropriation of public funds and breach of procurement procedure.

ANTI-CORRUPTION CHIEF BEN KEIFALA

These are staff of the ACC that have bent on becoming rich during this SLPP era by manipulating corruption cases against SLPP officials.

They have created a cabal of ACC mende investigators with an apparent pattern of destroying cases and even sidelining the Director of Investigation who is a Krio that is virtually at their mercy.

These set of named mende staff of ACC have secret files that are not to the knowledge of the Director of Investigation and the Commission.

This has created a dismal situation for the country as the entity charged with the responsibility to fight against corruption is now deeply polarized politically and riddled with corruption. Such a situation has never reared its ugly head before except during this SLPP era.

Sources close to the Maritime Administration have intimated that the Executive Director of SLMA Paul Sobba Massaquoi has bribed Ngobie, Noah and Foray to manipulate and tinker the undisputed evidence of misapropriarion of public funds an breach of procurement processes against him and other officials.

This is the very reason the ACC is dragging feet to complete and indict the said matter to court as the National Public Procurement Authority (NPPA) in charge of public procurement made it apparently clear that there were apparent and systematic breaches of procurement procedure, over pricing and incomplete work.

The public is anxiously waiting to see whether the Commissioner Francis Ben Kaifala will continue to put his integrity at stake by not charging Paul Sobba Massaquoi and others to court for the alleged offences.
