The Budget Advocacy Network, Slaj Sierra Leone, the 50/50 Group and ILRAJ have in a Press Release demanded a swift judgment following the conclusion of the Tribunal of the suspended Auditor General, Lara Taylor-Pearce and one of her Deputies, Tamba Momoh some three months ago.
They are urging the Tribunal to fulfill its duty and provide its decision, as the matter has been concluded and awaiting a decision since December 22nd, 2023.
Lara Taylor-Pearce and Tamba Momoh were suspended in November 2021 on allegations of ‘professional misconduct’ and breach of confidentiality relating to them contacting a hotel in Lebanon to confirm the authenticity of a receipt that was submitted for audit without the expressed permission of the Office of His Excellency Julius Maada Bio.
