If there was ever any doubt that the international community also has lost confidence in the ability of the ruling SLPP Government and institutions thrust with the responsibility to conduct credible, free and fair elections in Sierra Leone, the statements made by the European Union in Freetown last week classically showed that nobody trusts the SLPP anymore.
This statement, released in Freetown by the EU after engaging with President Bio, former President Koroma and other stakeholders speak volumes about the loss of credibility of the SLPP and its institutions , in the eyes of the international community.
This statement casts doubts about whether the SLPP will be able to successfully rig the 2023 elections as they plan.
