- It was an emotional moment for many as Sierra Leone Goodwill Ambassador Ms. Isatu Timbo took the floor and spoke from the heart at The Way to Happiness International Convention in Los Angeles, California on Saturday.
Inspiring a packed audience, Ms. Timbo described Sierra Leone’s troubled past and her plans for creating its successful future with The Way to Happiness program.
“I feel The Way to Happiness program will make a large impact on the youth and people of Sierra Leone and West Africa—especially those youth who have been displaced and adversely effected by the trauma of the 12-year war. I have been working with this program for a year now and have personal certainty on its potential to bring peace and a brighter future for each individual. I know the Sierra Leonean people will welcome this project with open arms”

Attended by participants from 12 countries, The Way to Happiness International Convention took place April 26-28 in Los Angeles, California. Celebrities Nancy Cartwright (voice of Bart Simpson) and Ruddy Rodriguez (International film star from Venezuela) were also on hand to voice their support and speak on behalf of the program and their personal involvement in it.
Since its release, The Way to Happiness program has been used with great success by governments, administrators and communities across the world from the US and South America to areas of the Middle East and Africa to instill values and a positive approach to both youth and adults alike—resolving conflicts, reducing overall crime and conflict and thus paving the way for a bright future

Ms. Timbo has been working continuously with The Way to Happiness Foundation International to establish the first Way to Happiness Chapter in Sierra Leone. Her dedicated efforts to bring workable programs and aide to Sierra Leone are geared toward echoing the global successes of the Way to Happiness program, and ensuring a prosperous, thriving future for the youth of the country. www.thewaytohappiness.org

During the past years, Mrs. Timbo has decided to devote her extraordinary human and professional qualities and skills towards helping her people back home in Sierra Leone. Having lived in Sierra Leone most of her life, she has an exceptional understanding of the practicalities of life of the people of Sierra Leone.
Her resolute and unflinching determination to improve the life of her people in the areas of basic healthcare services, education, and women empowerment is evident by the number of donations she has made in the last three years. She has donated food, clothing, school books, and supplies worth thousands of dollars to schools at Rokulan, Royanka, and other villages.
Mrs. Timbo-Nwokedi has also on several occasions sent 40 foot containers filled with medical supplies, hospital equipment, school supplies and books to Sierra Leone which were distributed to schools and hospitals around the country.
