Maada Bio and his tyrannical Sierra Leone People’s Party ( SLPP ) Government remain unrelenting in their human rights abuses and uncivilized political governance in Sierra Leone , even with all the bruhaha and international sanctions and blockage of the Millennium Challenge Corporation ( MCC ) U.S. $ 500 grant.
Treason accused AMADU KOITA is suffering horrendous torture and abuses in prison, according to reports being received ; BAI MAHMOUD’s condition has worsened in prison because of neglect of his sickness . Bai Mahmoud is the Organizing Secretary of the opposition All People’s Congress ( APC) and being held as suspect in the alleged coup attempt.
Today, LANSANA DUMBUYA , the Secretary General of the APC , has been invited to the CID for a few press statement he penned , giving APC’s standpoint that former President Ernest Koroma is innocent of all Treason charges preferred against him by the government .
KOITA : Being abused in prison
The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS ) wants Ernest Koroma out of Sierra Leone because they believe that will reduce the tension in the country but the SLPP do not want to comply because they want the former President to stay in Sierra Leone and be humiliated and destroyed, even though they know the dangerous repercussions. You destroy Ernest Koroma, you plunge the whole country into chaos, the SLPP has been warned even by the international community but Maada Bio is not listening. What will this stubborn-headed Maada Bio ever listened to ?
Why can’t these SLPP people be civilized for once and pursue peace, unity and reconciliation in Sierra Leone, as demanded by citizens and the international community ?
Look at all the soldiers they are dismissing and expelling from the barracks for mere suspicions of being against the government . Do they know the future chaos they are creating? These soldiers being illegally dismissed and thrown out of the barracks have families, sympathizers and supporters in the same army and all over the country !!! Do they know how these soldiers and supporters will one day react to all these injustices ? Maada Bio is like a beetle that keeps excreting and not looking behind to realize the mess he is creating .
Now, they want to come to America to beg the U.S Congress and the Millennium Challenge Corporation ( MCC ) to change their decision to withhold the U,S $500 Grant . On what basis should Congress, which imposed travel bans also and the MCC reconsider their decisions when Bio and his government are not becoming civilized but continue doing the same things ? Also, are they coming to beg when they were the very ones ones publicly dissing America, the U.S Ambassador and Congress, accusing them of interference into the internal affairs of Sierra Leone and boasting that they did not need the Compact money ? Why are they eating humble pie now ?
Also, why bypass the American ambassador in Freetown? He is the representative of the U.S, Congress and the MCC in Sierra Leone. They do not need to come to America. They can make representations to the U.S. Ambassador in Freetown and he will work with them to convince Congress and the MCC to change their minds, if indeed they are doing the right things . But it is very obvious that they are sidelining the ambassador because they do not like the advice he is giving them. What a shame . No wonder we are learning that they have been told not to come. Late President Siaka Stevens was really right : NO TO BOOK MAKE SENSE. NAR SENSE MAKE BOOK.
SLPP are burning their candles on both ends. The end of this government will be cataclysmic.
