Comments: I am amazed at one of the leading actors in Blood Diamonds being nominated for an oscar.On watching the films closely,there is no resemblance to the scenery in Sierra Leone.The background music is different and vehicle registration plates were using the old numbers.The black guy cannot even speak the creole language.The whole things looks provocative to the ordinary Sierra Leonean.

Comments: Political Gimmicks in Sierra Leone
The Political gimmicks in Sierra Leone at the moment look very interesting. The electorates seem to be confusing the politicians. I am wondering whether this is an indication that Sierra Leoneans are no longer immature or gullible when it comes to politicking.
At anytime a flag bearer of APC, SLPP or PMDC visits the people around Freetown or in the Provinces, there is that jubilant scene as if that particular party flag bearer is going to win the elections with an all out majority.

Most recently Ernest Koroma of the APC stormed the diamondiferous town of Kono and according to reports he was mobbed by hundreds of thousands of people. According to reports he was asked to come down his vehicle and walk the rest of the journey to Koidu Town.
Now it’s Momodu Koroma, s turn when he got a similar crowd in Mile 91 on Saturday February 10th 2007.
Solomon Berewa was reported to have amassed thousands of supporters in Bo during the New Year celebrations.
Charles Margai got his when his party was certified and when he returned from the Diaspora.
The same electorates come out in red, green or as in Margai,s case orange. To me it seems that all the electorates have in possession all the three party colours.

I must hasten to caution all the party flag bearers as the crowd could be deceptive come Election Day. There is no need for one party to claim victory because of the crowd reception, because the same crowd comes out at anytime a flag bearer visits them.
