New York: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met during the session of the United Nations General Assembly with the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sierra Leone, Samura Wilson Kamara.
“During the conversation, the parties discussed the interaction of the two countries in the UN with an emphasis on the reform of the UN Security Council, topical issues of maintaining peace and security, ending conflicts,” the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
Also on the agenda were issues of economic, humanitarian and political cooperation between Russia and Sierra Leone.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov also met with the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Wang Yi, at the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly.
