Any clandestine or secret meeting between Maada Bio and APC leadership will undermine the credibility of the Tripartite Committee

By Santigie Koroma

*The alleged electoral fraud committed by Maada Bio and his SLPP party demons was the catalyst for establishing a tripartite committee to investigate and uphold transparency and accountability. Nevertheless, a letter circulating on social media hinting at a possible meeting between the APC leadership and the Sierra Leone government has provoked shock and distrust within the community.*

*It is imperative to note that any clandestine or secretive gatherings between political figures and government officials could undermine the credibility of the ongoing investigations and erode public trust in the electoral process. The need for impartiality and impartiality in addressing electoral irregularities can not be overstated, as the future of democracy in Sierra Leone hinges on the fair and just resolution of these issues*

*The call for the Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone (ECSL) to provide concrete data and clarity regarding the elections is not only reasonable but essential for upholding democratic principles and ensuring the will of the people is accurately reflected. Without transparent and reliable information, doubts and suspicions will continue to linger, potentially leading to further polarization and unrest within the country.*

*In light of these concerns, stakeholders and concerned citizens are urging for a thorough and unbiased investigation into the alleged electoral fraud, with the ultimate goal of preserving the democratic values and principles that Sierra Leoneans hold dear. The need for accountability and transparency can not be compromised, as the future stability and progress of the nation are at stake.*

*Furthermore, the suggestion of calling for fresh elections as a means to uphold democratic principles and avert potential conflicts is a reflection of the seriousness of the situation. It serves as a reminder that the will of the people must be respected and upheld, and any attempts to manipulate or distort the electoral process will not be tolerated.*

*In conclusion, it is essential for all parties involved to prioritise the interests of the Sierra Leonean people above all else and to ensure that the investigations into the June 24th elections are conducted with the utmost transparency, integrity, and diligence. Only through a commitment to upholding democratic values and principles can Sierra Leone emerge stronger and more united from this challenging period.*

👆Any ammendment to the Tripartite Committee will definitely null and void all the provisions of the signed agreement, particularly that relating to the binding clauses ‘recommendations ……actionable and implementable’. If you ammendment the Tripartite Committee it becomes a completely new thing from the original signed agreements.

So on no ground the leadership should agree to any new arrangement. Lonta.
