Today’s Ebola updates from Ministry of Health and Sanitation :

Ebola Update July 1, 2014
For the 30th June 2014, a total of 9 samples were received by the Laboratory: Kenema (6), Kailahun (2) and Pujehun (1). Four (4) of the 9 samples are positive for Ebola – all from Kenema. Four of the remaining 5 samples are negative, while 1 result is pending.
The 3 samples Laboratory pending results yesterday are now positive for Ebola from Kenema district
The cumulative number of cases tested is 397, with laboratory confirmed cases 0f 206 and 67 confirmed deaths
Fifty (50) cases are currently admitted in Kenema (43) and Kailahun (7) isolation
Three (3) additional cases were discharged today, increasing the cumulative discharged cases to 26
Line listing of contacts and monitoring of case contacts is on-going in districts with confirmed cases.
Cash donations amounting to 100 million from the Regional manager of Airtel and 70 million Leones from employees of Airtel Sierra Leone were made to the Ministry of Health and Sanitation as contributions from Airtel towards the fight against the Ebola Viral Disease
