It is truly painful that the actions of a few individuals involved in the recent cocaine scandals are now casting a long shadow over innocent, hardworking citizens of Salone😭 🇸🇱😭
Imagine traveling with dignity, carrying your passport with pride, only to face suspicion, humiliation, and extra scrutiny simply because of where you are coming from. That is heartbreaking.
The average Sierra Leonean is hardworking, peaceful, and simply trying to survive and build a better future for their families. From students to businesspeople, nurses to drivers, many honest citizens are now paying the price for the reckless actions of a small group of people in leadership 😭
A nation’s image is fragile. Once damaged, it affects everyone not just politicians or those directly involved. It affects opportunities, respect, travel experiences, and how the world views ordinary people.
We pray for better leadership, accountability, and a restoration of the good name of Mama Salone. Because the poor masses should never suffer for the greed and failures of a few. 🙏🏾🇸🇱
