Hope 4 Ebola Orphans is a diaspora led organization recognized by the Office of Diaspora Affairs (ODA) which was created by His Excellency the President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma to harness the diaspora towards national developments.

Hope 4 Ebola Orphans is also a registered non-profit making Charity Foundation dedicating to raising awerness and fundraising inorder to support Ebola Orphans in Sierra Leone. The charity foundation during the first three months of their operation last year provided school kits with pads, pens, pencils, bags and food stuffs and medical help to Ebola orphans and less privileged children in deprived communities.  Also, they have been providing school fees and uniforms for quite a good number of these Ebola orphans. The foundation together with its partner Embracing Children Adoption Services has an interim care facility for vulnerable children. They are as well running a Hague-accredited, child-centred international adoption programme bringing hope to children in Sierra Leone.  This programme offers those children, who have lost their immediate family (and whose extended families cannot be traced or who are unable to be fostered) to be matched with adoptive parents from the US and EU who have completed an intensive culturally-orientated Adoption Home Study Programme.

According to Mama Mayila Yansaneh, a Co-founder of Hope 4 Ebola Orphans, the Government of Sierra Leone has done remarkably well to provide them a piece of land for the construction of a children’s village. “We are calling on well wishers, donors, individuals to give us their support in order for us to actualize our dream of building a mighty village for vulnerable children in Sierra Leone; with your support we can deliver real hope and practical help to transform the lives of orphans and other less privileged children in the country” Mama Yansaneh appealed.

The Children’s Village as Mama Yansaneh put it “will be an ultra modern centre that is going to have so many facilities including clean water, proper sanitation, renewable electricity, improved education and health facilities etc”.
