There was chaos at the headquarters of the All People’s Congress ( APC ) on Sunday when an attempt by Alfred Peter Conteh—the New Jersey man who sued the party to court and prevailed—attempted to hold a press conference there, in League with former Member of Parliament, Hon. Robin Farley.
According to reports stalwarts of the party massed strongly and prevented Conteh and Farley and supporters said to be in three buses, from entering the party headquarters.
APC vanguard and supporters are very angry for taking the party to court two months ago on the grounds that the present executive of the party, including former President Ernest Koroma who serves as Chairman, has exceeded their mandate as their terms of office has expired.
Last month, a Magistrate Court Judge, Justice Adrian Fisher , ruled in favor of Conteh, excluding the executive from the APC a mini-convention to ratify its new constitution, which the judge ordered to go on.
There have been different versions about the attack. While the APC media reported it as an attack, both men denied attacking the APC Headquarters, asserting that they had gone there simply to hold a press conference. But many people believe that Conteh and Farley’s action was a provocation, knowing too well the anger being nursed by APC supporters. People said it was not a wise decision and they should have held the meeting elsewhere.

Robin Faley, Alfred Peter Conteh Attack APC Headquarters
Former Member of Parliament for the Sierra Leone People’s Party, who later defected to the All Peoples Congress, Robin Faley, has joined litgant who dragged the APC to Court recently ( Alfred Peter Conteh), to attack the APC Headquarters today Sunday May 9th 2021, with three trucks of thugs.
The three trucks of thugs mainly known as stunch loyalits of the SLPP tried to forcefully enter the APC office, but, unfortunately the entire party office was under lock and key.
Alfred Peter Conteh, in tandem with the thugs and Robin Faley made strenous effort to besige the APC office despite efforts of the police to stop them.
Alfred Peter Conteh and Robin Faley said they were at the party office to conduct a press conference with three trucks load of thugs.
We Yone Press could not get to the National Secretary General, Ambassador Dr. Osman Foday Yansaneh whose telephone line was busy, but senior party officials have confirmed that neither Alfred Peter Conteh nor Robin Faley made any arrangement for such meeting.
The APC office is being run by competent party officials and the office can’t be used randomly.
A senior party official has also dismissed a misleading article put out under the name of one Titus Boye-Thompson running a We Yone Online, saying the case between Alfred Peter Conteh is in court and there is no way such negotiations can go on at the moment.
