Increasing Human Rights Violations, Hardship and Corruption….
Bio Deceives UNGA

Acting Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Peoples Congress has said, the speech delivered by His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio, at the United Nations General Assembly, does not reflect the reality on the ground.
Mohamed Pope Kamara, in an exclusive interview with We Yone yesterday said, the current realities on the ground exposed a government which had failed in transforming the lives of the citizenry, adding, it is unfortunate that while Sierra Leoneans are suffering hardship, gross human rights violations among other, President Julius Maada Bio was deceiving the global forum.
Kamara said the spate of corruption in the country has increased and that the current leadership of the Anti-Corruption Commission is only protecting the interest of the current government.
“It is glaring that the ACC under Francis Ben Kelfala is only playing with the intellect of the people. Sterling revelations about the current acts of corruption are published by the Africanist Press regularly,” he said, noting the ACC is not doing anything to prosecute perpetrators within the circle of government.
He also said the condition of living in Sierra Leone is very high as food commodities continue to hike on a daily basis.
“Sierra Leoneans have witnessed the worst period since the end of the war,’’ he added, continuing that the APC will continue to stand by the suffering masses whom, he added, are in the majority.
