Rumours going around the country and the diaspora are that there is a high likelihood of chaos breaking out in Sierra Leone, if the people do not have a satisfactory outcome from the Tripartite Committee investigations into last year’s electoral fraud by President Maada Bio.
COCORIOKO has learnt that if the recommendations from the committee dp not meet the expectations of the people, this will trigger massive protests because the people want electoral justice. They do not want to see President Bio get away with one of the most spectacular elections robbery ever in Africa.
A social media political commentator who writes under the pseudonym of MENTAL REVOLUTIONARY , writes :
SIERRA LEONEANS FIRED UP BY THE TRIPARTITE COMMITTEE
*The thing is, many people in Sierra Leone right now are feeling pretty fired up about what’s been going on with the tripartite committee. The establishment of the tripartite committee was supposed to get to the bottom of things to really look into what happened during the June 24th, 2023 elections.*
*Now, here’s the deal : the people aren’t just sitting back and waiting. They are standing firm and demanding the truth. They want solid evidence, clear data that shows who the rightful winner of the elections is. It’s not just a matter of sitting back and hoping for the best. The people are ready to take action to make their voices heard loud and clear.*
*If the authorities fail to provide this concrete information, this clarity that the people are asking for, then there’s a very real fear that Sierra Leone could be in for some serious unrest. The people have made it clear that they won’t just accept any outcome – they want the truth, and they want it now. This isn’t about picking sides or playing politics. It’s about fairness, transparency, and ensuring that the democratic process is respected.*
*Imagine a scene where the people of Sierra Leone are out on the streets, voices raised in unity, demanding justice and accountability. The authorities need to understand that this isn’t just a threat. It’s a warning. If they ignore the cries of their own people, if they brush aside their concerns and continue to stall or evade the truth, then they will face the consequences.*
*This is a passionate article of protest, a rallying cry to all Sierra Leoneans to stand up and fight for what is right. To demand answers, to demand justice, to demand a fair and transparent electoral system that truly represents the will of the people. The time for complacency is over. The time for action is now.*
*Sierra Leone is at a crossroads, and the decisions made in the coming weeks will have far-reaching consequences. The people will not be silenced, and they will not be ignored. It’s time for the authorities to listen, to act with integrity and honesty, and to uphold the principles of democracy that are so crucial to the future of Sierra Leone.*
*So, are you ready to join the fight to stand with the people of Sierra Leone in their quest for truth and justice? The time for change is now, and together, we can make a difference. Let’s raise our voices, let’s make our voices heard, and let’s demand the truth that the people of Sierra Leone deserve.*
